Dear Barton Parish Council,
I am writing to you on behalf of the North Barton Road Land Owners Group, who have launched today their
Vision for South West Cambridge, a new, proposed, sustainable neighbourhood on land to the north of
Barton Road.
The Vision has been submitted in response to the Greater Cambridge Local Plan’s Call for Sites and the
landowners, who comprise Corpus Christi College, Downing College, Jesus College, St John’s College and
the University of Cambridge, are committed to informing the local community about their Vision.
Owing to the current restrictions in place as a result of Covid-19, we are unable to hold an in-person event
with local residents. However, we have created an online consultation programme, which includes a
comprehensive website outlining plans for the area. This website is launching this morning and can be
accessed via the following link:

We are also hosting a series of webinars which will include a detailed presentation from the project team
and will go into further detail on key elements of the Vision.
