Barton village recreation ground lies between the High Street and Wimpole Road (A 603). There is a full size football pitch, tennis courts, skate board ramps (half-pipe), basketball practise goal, children’s play area, pavilion, bowls club, car park and rough ground for general recreation. A path joins the High Street to Wimpole Road which is lit at night. The Parish Council maintains the grounds and play area whilst the Tennis Club, Pavilion and Bowls Club look after their amenities. Parking access is through the gate from the High Street.
