Increase in Pet Thefts

There has been an increase in pet thefts reported. Keep a look out for chalk marks, coloured ribbons on fences, gates, boundary walls or hedges. These are often left by someone checking out an area for properties to be targeted. Someone else then steals the animal. This technique could also be used for property theft in general, so be aware of visitors, door-to-door sellers hanging around our streets and tagging houses that they deem vulnerable.
