Barton Greenways Meeting

A meeting was held Friday afternoon with the GCP, County and District Councillors, Barton Parish Councillors, Barton business owners and local farmers to ensure that the GCP is fully aware of the impact of the Greenways works on village businesses. All agreed that the project management and communication needs to improve and that the next stages of the project need to minimize disruption throughout the village, allow businesses to recover and ensure farmers can drive unimpeded through Barton during harvest. As a follow-up to the meeting a working group between Barton interests and the Greenways team is being formed to agree all future works phasing and resolve issues in a coordinated manner and we hope the situation will improve as a result.  Regular updates will be posted on the Parish Council website as and when available.
