Barton is Open: Road Diversion Removed

The road diversion put in place by CCC Streetworks has been lifted. There are no diversions signs in Comberton at Green End or Long Road. These signs directed traffic away from Barton along South Street and Royston Lane to the A603. The original Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is back in place with the diversion around New Road up High Street to the village centre with the route back to the A603 the reverse.

New Road is likely to be closed for a further two weeks to allow work on the Greenways project.

Please be patient during this period, especially along High Street, where we know residents are being subjected to much higher than normal volumes of traffic. Please continue to park off road if you can on either driveways or at the recreation ground car park. We would also encourage parents driving to Barton school to use Burwash Manor or New Road.
