Greenways Update – Comberton Road Work to Start

Greenways team plan to start work on a raised table on Comberton Road Tuesday 26th August 2026.

This will go in at the end of the current shared pavement between the farm cottages (12 and 14) and 9 Comberton Road and is part of the traffic calming measures enabling cyclists to transition more safely between the carriageway and shared pavement. These works are quite extensive including pavement, drainage, and road alterations and likely to last 4 or 5 weeks. The road will be restricted to one lane at this point with traffic controlled by two-way lights 24/7 for the period. Work will continue at Kings Grove/Burwash with three-way lights.

The plan is to open the pavement between School Lane and High Street and then the crew working there will move to Comberton Road raised table.
