Work has started on Barton Road (A603) in to Cambridge with the layout of a compound near Coton roundabout and erection of barriers. Construction of the new shared pavement is due to begin 1st September. These works will be overnight with the road closed.

Work in Barton village will add a new phase soon with construction of a raised table on Comberton Road. The raised table is part of traffic calming measures at the section where cyclists join the shared pavement. This will be under two-way lights.
