Barton Road Greenway Works Start End of September

We are writing to inform you about upcoming construction work on B603 Barton Road, which will commence at the end of September as part of the Barton Greenway project. This initiative involves the installation of new drainage and the upgrading of the existing path to enhance safety and accessibility in line with current guidance. Works are restricted to within the rural section from the from Haggis Farm roundabout concluding at the layby before Gough Way.

In preparation for the path widening, a temporary path will be constructed on the southern side of Barton Road. This path will be tarmacked and equipped with safety barriers, along with push-button crossings to assist with safe access.

The works will predominately be undertaken under temporary traffic light control between 9am-3.30pm.
