CCC Planned IT Maintenance

Dear Reader,

Following on from our Aurora August Newsletter, re-attached above for reference, we are writing to make you aware that we are making changes to our Asset Management System and need to go offline from Thursday 18th – Sunday 21st September 2025 to enable this. Further information can be found below.

We’re upgrading our systems.

As part of essential IT upgrades, our Report It system – used to report highways issues such as potholes, traffic signal faults, or damaged signs – will be temporarily unavailable during the following period:

From 6.00pm on Thursday 18 September to 12.00am (midnight) on Sunday 21 September 2025.

This temporary unavailability is due to the transition of our Highways and Transport maintenance system to a new, cloud-based platform. This upgrade is an important step toward improving the speed, reliability, and future capabilities of how we manage your reports.

When will the service resume?

The Report It system will be back online and fully operational by Monday 22 September 2025.

Reporting an Emergency?

If you need to report a highways emergency (e.g., a serious hazard or immediate risk to public safety), please use our emergency reporting process, which remains available as usual, Report a highways emergency | Cambridgeshire County Council.

A new look for Report It

When the system is back online, you will notice a refreshed look and feel. We’ve made some small updates to the user interface to create a smoother, more consistent experience.

Update to the Customer Facing Map – Report It Pins

As part of recent system changes, we’ve taken the opportunity to review the usability and accuracy of our customer-facing map. You’ll notice a significant reduction in the number of Report It ‘pins’. This is because we’ve archived older and duplicate customer reports in our new system, while retaining all reports from the last six months.

Archived reports will still be reviewed and closed out by officers to ensure they are properly addressed. If you wish to re-report an issue that no longer appears on the map following go-live, please do so via the new-look site once it becomes available.

Thank you for your patience
