Community Speedwatch is up and running in Barton. After more than three-months of “lock down” volunteers are back on the streets to monitor and educate speeding motorists. Patrick De Backer, Robert Stopford, Sarah Pitchford and Andy Martin set up the Radarlux monitor on Haslingfield Road mid-afternoon Monday 6th July 2020. Although relatively quiet 17 speed offences were recorded in one hour with one driver of a Mini speeding in both directions. Vehicle registration numbers have been passed on to the police who will issue warning letters to the offenders.
