Barton Needs You

Parish Council elections are coming up in May. Barton needs more willing people to help run the Parish Council. It is one way of helping maintain our village and a way of giving back to the community. The PC is responsible for a range of amenities and assets from playground equipment to grass verge cutting, from notice boards to car park gates. We also have an important role in liaising with the District Council and County Council over bigger local issues such as transport, social needs and planning. There are six meetings a year with working groups meeting in between these formal public meetings. If you have an interest in the first level of government and want to make an impact on how we manage and improve our community, then please put your name forward.
